She was diagnosed with colon cancer and I wanted to bring her a small gift...mainly an angel to watch over her. The gift shop had a nice selection of angels, but the ones that I fell in love with, were the Willow Tree Angels...they looked so serene and calm. The artist Susan Lordi, has a beautiful way of conveying the perfect message for each individual figurine. She has made a lovely collection to choose from, and each one is the right one for the occasion. They are made of a resin that is carved/treated to look like wood. They are sweet and delicate-looking, but sturdy. The metal wings are a simple design, but are the perfect compliment to the rest of the figure's body. I just purchased a third angel from Amazon, for another friend in the hospital, going to Hospice next. There is something about Angels that has everyone feeling positive and relaxed, when around them!
